UAB "INTER RAO Lietuva" is an independent supplier of electricity. The Company acquired this status in 2002, after the new Law on Energy of the Republic of Lithuania had entered into force, initiating the liberalisation of the electricity market and legalisation of independent suppliers and other entities of an open energy market.

 

Since the beginning of its activities, the Company has intensively developed trade relations with the Baltic and Scandinavian countries, Russian and Belorus energy companies and large-scale electricity consumers. Striving for the further development of Lithuania’s energy system as well as its reliability, one of the key milestones was to strengthen long-term partnership based on value creation, business development and confidence.

 

In addition to electricity trading, "INTER RAO Lietuva" actively develops investment projects within the energy and real estate sectors.
